Bina-Istra Jsc. has been the Concessionaire of the Istrian Motorway since 1995 when it entered into the Concession Agreement with the Government of the Republic of Croatia under the model of public-private partnership. This was also the first agreement of this kind concluded in Croatia. According to the Agreement, after the expiration of the Concession, Bina-Istra will make all the infrastructure available to the Grantor, namely the Republic of Croatia, without any additional cost.
Our main activities are motorway design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance. As the Concessionaire of the Istrian Motorway, we base all our activities on continuous investments in infrastructure, satisfaction of our users and the quality of our employees.
In addition to our daily activities, we strive to be active in the area of socially responsible business through the implementation of numerous projects. We are proud to point out that our commitment has been recognized by the wider community and that we are a member of the United Nations Global Compact organization.
In an effort to make the completion of the Istrian Motorway Project successful, our engagement is present in all fields, which is confirmed by the prizes we received from Project Finance Magazine, namely Best European Road Deal for Originality of Solution and Best European Road Deal for Innovative Solutions.
